Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Notorious BIG’s death. In memory of the iconic rapper, numerous artists including Puff Daddy who was a close friend of Biggie and is credited with discovering him and signing him to Bad Boy Records.

On March 9th, 1997, just only 24-years old the rapper Christopher Wallace better known as his stage name (The Notorious Big) was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles.

Just two days before his death, he performed what would be his final performance at the Soul Train Music Awards in Los Angeles, and it’s a reminder of what an uncompromising talent Biggie Smalls had.
