Prince singer, songwriter an artist, who pioneered “the Minneapolis sound” and took on the music industry in his fight for creative freedom, died on Thursday April 21, 2016. At the age of 57.
As a kid growing up Prince was a musical hero, I have never seen someone so flashy and confident like that and to be so respected by his musical peers. On that very day, that his death was announced I was completely shocked, you know I find it so hard to accept that on this journey of life, that one day it must come to an end. Prince and among many others who have passed away created great music that will forever live on. I mean music that has always been the reflection our society.
Prince was a great musician, he brought different music cultures together he played rock, country, jazz, and blues, that man played everything, and that’s what you can call a true musical genius. I also feel like Prince was very conscious of his responsible as an musician and having a true humanitarian spirit. His legacy will forever live on.
